The first race of 2007 was very successful and was a lot of fun at the same time. The Open House was well attended and many new riders participated in the new riders clinic. They did very well and it was easy to see they were having a good time. I think we'll have several long term BMXer's from this group based on the skills we saw on this day. I think the biggest surprise of the day was the performance of some of the girls riding in the boys classes. Some got combined into the boy/men classes and others just looked for a challenge. But in the end the girls ruled on this day, great job ladies. Thanks to all the volunteers that we call the "Shady Crew". From the parents that helped with registration and concessions, to everyone that helped with the track and grounds in the last few weeks, thank you for all your great help! Its this help and support that makes the wheels go around at Shady Lane BMX. I can never say "Thank You" enough times.
