| Shady Lane BMX is a non-profit race track
operated by volunteers. We are a member of the National Bicycle League
(NBL) which is the largest sanctioning body of BMX in the world. The NBL
is also a non-profit organization. The purpose of the NBL is to promote
the sport of bicycling, to sanction and to supervise bicycle competition
events. Shady Lane BMX follows the NBL racing format, as well as all their
rules and regulations. All riders competing as Shady Lane BMX must become
members of the NBL. The fees are used to fund the organization, secure
track liability insurance, and to run competition events and
programs. We have all the information needed to properly sign you up
for the NBL at the track on race day or at a New Rider Clinic. It is a
very easy process that we will be glad to assist you with.
NBL fees are as follows: Full One year NBL membership- $45 Trial One month NBL membership-$30 (gives you a chance to try BMX without paying full price) The Trial Membership can easily be converted to full membership anytime if done at end of month. A parent or legal guardian must be present when a new rider signs-up. Please bring a copy of the riders birth certificate to verify age. This will be sent to the NBL for their records. 614-777-1625 phone 614-777-1680 fax Web site- www.nbl.org
