Except for a very unexpected downpour Friday night at about 9pm, Shady Lane BMX had a perfect weekend for racing. Because of the rain practice started about 1.5 hours late, it just took time for the sun and wind to go it's job as the workers spread oil dry and raked and swept the track into shape. It's always hard to start practice late knowing riders and families came a long way to compete, but we are sure we did the right thing because the track ended up being near perfect. The track really wasn't that bad, but we waited until we knew damage wouldn't be done and it was "Shady" smooth again!

Patience was the key, Thank You OHIO NBL Riders!

This is what a good snap is all about. David has started his forward motion just as the gate starts it's downward path. Look how forward his body is compared to the other riders, this drives the bike forward and  helps put the power to the peddles.
