It rained, it looks like it's going to rain, or did it rain in Norwalk?

First you must understand that we very much want to run the race, but safety is our first concern.  If rain is in the forecast we run the program until rain or dangerous weather forces us to make the call to cancel the days event. If it rains in the hours before the race a track inspection is in order. Our track drains very well, and warm air and wind also help the cause. Sometimes with a little hard work (and help from mother nature) the track can be repaired after rain and we can start on time, or with a small delay. Other times the track is just too wet and the smartest thing to do is cancel the event for that day. Just a couple bikes on a wet track can cause track damage that can take days to repair. 

If your not sure if we are running a race please call the track and we will have a prerecorded message stating that the event has been cancelled if that is the case. We apologize if we might wait until the last minute to make the call,  we could be out working on the track trying to get it ready. We are trying to make the right call and sometimes that just takes time. We understand how much you want to race and are doing the best we can with a wet situation. Rider safety will always be our first priority.
